Classes

Learning to Fly Fish Class

If you are interested in this class,

please call 209 572-2212

This class is designed for the person who has never fly fished before. Limited to 6 students per class.

Subjects covered: fly fishing equipment, proper knots, insects and flies to use, presentation techniques, and fly casting.
Approximately 5 hours of instruction; 2 hours of lecture and 3 hours of casting instruction.
We provide the use of equipment ( you are welcome to bring your own).
$75.00 per person, includes lunch and refreshments.

Fly Tying for Beginners

Next classes:

Session #1: Wednesdays, February 22, 29,

& March 7 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Session #2: Wednesdays, March 20, 27,

& April 3 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

This class is designed for the person who has never tied flies before. The thrill of tying your own fly and catching a fish on that fly is an experience that you will never forget!

You will learn to tie the Wooly Bugger, Gold-Ribbed Hare's Ear Nymph, Pheasant Tail Nymph, Adams, and Elk Hair Caddis
Use of tools and all materials will be provided.
Approximately 6 hours of instruction
$75.00 per person

On-the-Stream Class

This class will cover on-the-stream techniques that cannot be learned without being on a stream. The location will be up on a Highway 108 stream about 2 hours drive from Modesto. Novice fly fishers are welcome.

Fee: $100.00 per person.

On-the-Water Classes

These classes are designed to improve your on-the-water skills. You will be actually fishing with an instructor. Classes range from basic stream fishing techniques to float tubing for striped bass.
